- Professional Experience:
Joined Hakuhodo in 1994. Appointed Account Executive in the 2nd Accounting Div (currently TBWA/H), took charge of planning and execution of Sales Promotion for Nissan Motors as well as CRM system development and operation in 1994-98. Moving to the 3rd Accounting Div in 1999-2000, the focuses shifted to advertising, media planning and planning/execution of events for Yamazaki Nabisco and Allstate Insurance.
In 2000-01 in Interactive Business Div, main responsibilities included planning, development and operation of Hakuhodo's WEB business (PETARO, New Year's lottery E-cards etc.). Simultaneously took part in developing the world's first system that allows real time measurement of advertisement effectiveness "Hyper Icars" (early SEO so to speak)
2001 until present in R&D Div., research themes have been (1) Development of Ubiquitous Systems for Real Time Marketing and (2) Development of IT that assist the Creativity of the Organization. Research (1) focuses on inferring the changes in user's behavior, mental state, and environmental state by using multi-sensors and also development of fundamental technologies that realizes adaptation of information contents. This empirical-approached study is a joint project with Fujitsu Labs as well as University of Tokyo and Bonrepas (retailer in Kyushu). (2) is again a joint research with Tsukuba University, University of Tokyo, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of California at San Diego and Chukyo University on the spiral process of human thinking. The group has been demonstrating the appropriate data management (mainly processing and visualization) in terms of data observation up to application to the real world. This project has allowed us to practice our unique method in Hakuhodo Foresight's Future Scenario Forecasting projects.
- Area of Interests:
Strong interest in Human creativity and environmental support. I am basically a researcher, however, my motivation lies in realistic contribution to bringing innovation to society. I believe in working by a realistic evaluative environment, irrespective of the degree of research complexity. Apt at data mining, machine learning, sensor fusion, etc. Because of my technological background, I often find myself creating my own calculative/measurement systems and devices.
